Hello Roy Suomi, It sounds like the fuel filter is drained into the tank overnight.When it starts and sputters the air is preventing fuel from keeping the engine running. You need to pressurize the fuel system from the tank all the way to the pump inlet. Any fitting that is not making a good contact, will let air in and draind the system back to the tank. Pressure will usually show where the leaking connection is. The transfer pump could have a internal leak. When you pressurize the system, bypass the trasfer pump, so you wont hurt it. Its a tedeous process of elimination, but i think that is your problem. Sometimes a one way check valve before the transfer pump is all you need to solve the problem. Also check anything that was done prior to this. Good Luck ....................Guido.
