Hay Showcrop,JM,Dave 135, and Kyle. The rocks, Shale ledge on this site, was up the ditch above the trees. 19' rise on 40' run. Had to did up hill to rip it out. also ran into an old laid stone foundation further down, The trackhoe is a KUBOTA KX41 series III. And Kyle, I don't know where you live, but I bet you would have a heart attack when you see our taxes on everything we own or buy in NYS. The pics show the foundation hole 5'x5'x 6' deep. We pour the hole rather than form a structure, and backfill around it with loose soil. (much more stable from lateral wind loading )This foundation took 6yds. The ditch is 440' long and we ran 4 strands of AWG6 stranded wire for this 2.4 KW 240V AC Turbine on a 45' hinge-up tower. A quick note to all: I have not mentioned brand names or the company that I represent. I'm just posting pics. and info on renewable energy equipment and my comittment to it. I enjoy this sight and will never abuse it for comercial gain.
