Tax man came to do an "oughtit" today. Ought it be mine or ought it be his. He said his. I said, "Well ain't nothing left anyway.". Tax man said, "Well we'll walk around your farm and just see about that.". First stop, he remarked about how pretty my 20 acre lake was. Yeah I admitted it is scenic, but it was a bean field before that last rain. Next stop by the pens, he asked if that was the only cow I had. Yep and I would have sold her if she hadn't got well. Tax man wanted to know if my son couldn't work and bring in somee cash. Yeah after his arm heals. Broke it when he fell out of a persimmon tree while eating breakfast one morning. Passing the shed the tax man wanted to know what I was going to do with that big pile of baling wire. I told him that there was a tractor under there somewhere. He left when I told him that he may be able to get blood out of a turnip, but I sure hoped he had the turnip.
