I just bought a new head gasket 94.00 now the engine I am putting it on is a diesel and is suspect as it had water in it and froze up. I want to try it with a new head gasket to see if it will start(have never used the tractor) my question is if I install the new gasket torque is 80 ft lbs and the engine turns out to be no good could I remove the gasket for further work or is it a one shot deal and I will need a new gasket if I have to take it apart again. The engine is a David Brown VAD4/47 in 1962 Implematic tractor. bought basically as is.
