Burrhead,The rv.net forum is huge, you can spend 3-4hrs. reading all the posts that discuss Ford,Dodge, Chev, and the medium duty trucks. How each person relays their experiences with their truck is of course, very onesided. The type of load towed is immaterial when looking for information like rhudson is asking about,just the capacity, ie: GCVWR. I would suggest to rhudson: the Ford F350,SRW,crew cab, short bed, sounds like it will fit into your plans. The choice of engines is important too. The older Ford diesel engines have the problem with cyl. liners, coolant, and poor maintenence;cavitation I think it's called.
