Patrick, It depends on what you want. If you want a Case tractor of that vintage, I would say the price is high. It may depend on where you live but a 1940s SC Case in running condition in Iowa can be bought in the range of $300-$800. If your object is the challange to save the tractor and cost is not important, go for it. If money is imporant, $250 (less would be better) may not be a bad price if you junk it out and sell bit and piece parts. Kent
