Did you by any chance have the distributor off and in putting it back either loose a washer off a bolt or replace a bolt tht holds the distributor on? On a 9N that I have had developed a knock and was told it was a wrist pin, tore down and got all new sleves and pistons to put back together (still wating) and after everything I found on the timing gear just in back of the distributor where the small ribs are on the gear every one had a grove cut in from a too long of bolt having been put in to hold the distributor on before I got the tractor. 1/8" will cause that problem.
