you havent stated exactly what the problem is,so i cant definately say,however if the problem is the ring and pinion then all you would have to do is take out the axle shafts,and the drive shaft if its in the planitary in the hubs then take out the axle shafts and the planitary gears,i cant think of any safety problems that you would incur
