Without knowing more about the tractor, such as: is it powershift or syncro range? How many SCVs? Is it gas or diesel, wide front or narrow, what size rear rubber and condition, does it have 3 pooint that is complete and operable, and most important, where is it ? Not knowing these things makes it hard to say! However,I saw a 1963 JD 3010D at a local consignment auction go, about two years ago or so. It was a sorry tractor. The engine was stuck and full of black goo. The injector pump was partly dissasembled, The muffler had largish holes in it and the shwartz wfe had three welds on it. It had dual SCVs, both corroded to junk and the levers didn't move. The steering wheel spun freely without any resistance at all. The brakes were frozen and the pedal wouldn't move. The clutch pedal wouldn't move. The gauges were all shot. The seat was rust and rags. No top link or pto shields. The radiator held rusty red stuff but had no radiator cap. The generator and starter appeared to be "poor". The sheet metal had holes. The fenders were bent and lights were gone. It had a real nice NEW set of 15.5x38 Goodyears. It brought $2500.00 Go figure! Your Father in Law's tractor COULD be worth anywhere from $4000-8000, depending a lot on the sruff I mentioned in my first paragraph.
