Well, I wonder if it would do any good to contact you local representative and tell him or her, as may be the case, how much paying so much for gasoline has made you have to cut back on buying the other things that are less essential to maintaining your lifestyle. Complain to all the other merchants, salespeople, "charity promoters", and anyone else you are providing money, in whatever way, for whatever reason, how fuel prices have made you have to cut back on your spending amounts. It's gonna take a total unified effort to bring pressure on the greedy oil companies and distributors, they've got an awful lot of power and a lot of people in the right places, not to even mention an abundance of money. As consumers, we've got no clout unless we are able to get other elements in the whole economic picture to help us fight "Big Oil". It seems to me to be only fair because the extra money we're spending on fuel cannot be spent on other things, things as essential as food, and, as luxurious as diamonds, and everything in between.
