I stepped in it that time. I forgot the old Fords are flatheads. As for the oil issue, I'll stick with what the old H.Feguson mechanic told me. The seals weren't made to resist the additives in detergent oil, and slowly will deteriorate from exposure to them. My TO30 is '52 vintage and the engine doesn't use oil, and never been opened. If it ain't broke don't fix it he says.
