i'm about 40 miles south of LaGrange in the so called post oak prarie had good luck just spreadin hybrid bermuda runners by hand and lightly discing them in...its pretty labor intensive but i can plant about 3 acres a day by myself and i'm old fat n slow...couple kids in wagon behind a tractor tossin spriggs should be able to cover some ground in 8 hours. i actually prefer to plant spriggs or runners in late fall to take advantage of winter moisture...they grow roots all winter and come spring they jump out of ground.
