The snow keeps shrinking (good thing YEA !)Winter has been long or so it seems with the heavy snows. Hay getting a little low and thought I might try to find a round Bale 5x5 I put out in the Stud Pen just before the winter started. The first pic is looking out across the pen. I had tried to find this bale before with no luck so I headed back out today with a seven foot tile probe and after a few probes I was pretty sure I had found it. I spent about 40 minutes in the light drizzle digging and chopping the alternating layers of snow and ice, Eureeka I finally got to the top of the bale. Second pic is the hole with with the probe at snow level but not touching the ground yet. The last one is the hole with the probe touching the bale for referance. Hope I get it dug out fully tomorrow. Hope you enjoy the farm photos.
