I have had that problem before also. I believe there is a small heater that goes around the fill tube and plugs into the electrical circuit . When it burns out there is no heat left to keep the very end of the tube from freezing, hence no ice. If I remember its not very expensive but I've had 2 of them burn out in the last 12 years or so.
