1953 was a golden jubilee.. but the series of tractors from 1953 through 1964 are sometimes referred to as the jubilee series of tractors... Ford did make continuous improvement to this series through out, so a tractor purest will argue this point. This series was U.S. made till ford changed to the "WORLD" tractor in 1965 made in 3 different factories around the world.
53 and 54 tractors were referred to a NAA models although the 53 had the special golden jubilee badge. then came the 500 and 700 series, then the 600 and 800, 900 then 2000/4000.
they were great small tractors between 28 to 58 hp during the run. usually a good buy good price, some models can be had with 5 sp, live hydraulics, live pto, and the famous 3 point hitch with draft and position control. occasionally you see one with the over-under tranny added to make the extremely versitle 15 speeds. Ford aimed for numbers of sales and targeted the more numerous smaller farms which he did very well with.
Parts are generally availible and sales prices are a bargin on this series of tractors. These are very reliable tractors if your looking in this hp range.
