Granddad came here from Germany in early 20th century, as did Great-Grandparents on Grandmother's side. They HAD to learn English to get a decent job, and to become citizens. I was raised in that family speaking English, and know very little German. I too am a PROUD Veteran from an earlier era, where we were actually concerned about this Country being taken over, and had taken steps to prevent it. Now, it's just a look the other way society. I too have Native American on my Mom's side, and will fight as they did to protect this Country from being taken over. I get so tired of going into McDonald's (now owned by a person from Taiwan)and giving my order in English only to hear the counter person speaking in Spanish to everyone about it. English is and has been for a LONG time the PRIMARY language of this Country, and I am too damned old to be learning some B.S. language of someone who wants to take everything they can for free!! Maybe a RANT, but it's my opinion, one that I and MANY others fought and spilled our blood to provide and protect. A buddy has a tag line; "If you don't stand behind our Troops, please feel free to stand in FRONT of them". If this Country looks so good to others who are running in here, then learn OUR language, and keep YOURS in the house or Mosque etc. What a great start to a Sunday morning. Oh, and I have been fingerprinted too. First when I was drafted (Inducted for the P.C. group), then when I became Peace Officer, when I became a Firefighter, and again when I became a Paramedic. I doubt I qualify for having any knowledge of what is occurring in the mainstream U.S. though...
