About 5 years ago I bought some Armstrong 12" square self adhesive tile (also says Urethane on the package)but due to priorities shifting, I never got them laid. Had a professional floor man come and put down new softwood underlayment and when he peeled the first tile to stick it down, it didn't stick very well and he asked "how old" is this stuff?
Wife was very careful to pick out just the right pattern and now looking again for non self stick tile, they are all ugly. I agree, all commercial blah looking stuff.
Question: can vinyl self ad. tile have a use by date? Nothing on the box.
Big box store guy said just use my bond enhancer and make sure the tile is warm,,it will work.Don't have much trust, but bought a bottle of liquid to coat the floor with first.
I am willing to take the risk but wondered what anyone else's experience is.
BTW, tile was at room temp, was always stored in a heated/air conditioned place. Leo
