I've never had one that was spring loadeed on a tractor. I just gotta be careful when the ground is still soft, running the blade with no shoes, after it freezes no problems. But the tractor is just a plow to play with, I've got a Vee-plow on my Chevy. I would think a back blade could be made to use on the front, just wondering how tall the blade is, some arent very tall and deep snow could come over the top. Would be nice to make it angle like a back-blade does, my blade is fixed in the straight position only.
