As Red says, it's an investment in satisfaction, a sense of accomplishment, it's therapy and probably a whole bunch of other things these guys could add. And it's just plain fun! But more than that, it's connection to a past that was very important to me; my 2N reminds me of the days I spent with my grandfather on his farm when I was a kid and the Super M takes me to my Uncle's farm and all of the great hours I worked there. And I can take these tractors out of the barn and just drive them, or I can show them or take them to a parade and meet a lot of neat new people in the process. Where does the money come in? I can tell you what I spent on each one but I have no illusions about what I would get back if I tried to sell them. On a strict "profit and loss" basis, they would all be red ink. But that intangible side of the ledger makes me big bucks every day!
