That is a fair price if the tractor is in good condition. Is the thermostart used when trying to start tractor? While tractor is running check blowby at the end of the crankcase breather tube. These tractor do not take either very well if used to start more often than not. Either will almost always break out the piston ring grooves. If engine cranks slow or hesitate over compression stroke, the battery may not have enough cranking amps. 980 plus CCA is needed.
