you get a eye for them.. I can spot a tractor from a long way off and then id the brand, Make and model...

You learn the area also.
I used to be a mud man accross OK and TX Panhandle. The Cases are around Canadain TX,and north while the IHC,s are around Plainview TX.. There where lots of 630 JD's around Elk City OK. Lots of Case near Enid ect....

Different dealership were strong at different times. Now that I leave in Houston. There are lots
Super C IHC down here around Sugarland.

I have been watching a JD 830 near my house and I live inside beltway 8 in Houston. The city grew up around the farm.

I got a old Massey Haris mowing machine north of Austin on I-35 that is now a fast food parking lot. The construction crew was glad to have it removed for them. It is not worth much but I figure maybe someone could use some parts one day?

Really for me the fastest way is the internet. You can find out who is serious, you know prices, and I do not have the free time to drive around any more it is easler and quicker to make a deal on the internet and drive 1000 miles than spend days and weeks chaseing folks around who have junk
parked in thier Backyard.

But you never know unless you ask.

Old story about a guy who would ask every girl he meet for a kiss... Well he got slapped a lot and he also got luck lots of times.

How much time and energy do you have? Lots of junk out little time...
