I'm not sure what you mean by air bound. How about telling us what it is doing. Some engines(installations) have to be bled through a vent at a high point in the cooling system. However, most will bleed themselves. Fill the cooling system & run the engine. When the thermostat opens the coolant level will drop so fill it back up again. Sometimes it takes two or three open/shut cycles of the thermostat to finally get all the air out. On some engines additional air will be displaced if the engine is sped up a little when the thermostat is open. If that doesn't help give us some clues...Al English
