Just wondering how many of the people on this site are of the youger generation of tractor collectors. What tractors or classic cars do you own and how old were you when you bought your fist tractor? tell the story behind it and how much you payed.

Im 18 years young almost 19, and own these,
My tractors,

1942 John Deere B (grandfathers tractor)-
My Grandfather bought it in the 1970s for $100,then sold it in the mid-1980s for $1000, and i bought it back when i was 14 years old, for $1000, that is after working very hard detasseling the corn.

1945 John Deere B- I bought this after seeing an add on craigslist Payed $850 for it at age 18. It is the first tractor that i am tearing down and repainting. This one has surface rust all over and you wouldn't even think that its a John Deere, but I am determined to bring it back to life. Good running tractor just needs new paint.

1948 Farmall C, 2C32 Loader- Found this for sale on the side of the road. Was going home from football practice when I noticed it and was the first to call the guy abut the tractor. I payed $850 for it and it has a 2C32 power loader on it. 16 when i bought it.

1948 John Deere A- This tractor was purchased at an auction just down the road from where we live. It has a roll-o-matic front end and a 3 piont hitch. Drove it home a few hours later and now use it to blade snow on our 200 yard driveway. Payed $963 for it. Bought at 18.

My Cars,
1928 Dodge Victory 6- bought off of ebay, it is a running all original car but it needs all of the brakes redone and eventually a complete engine overhall. I think that i will keep it as original as possible. Payed $3500 for it at age 17.

1958 Ford Custom 300- I found this car in a local car magazine. It looked great in the picture so i called up the guy and told him I was interested. My dad and I drove 3 hours to go and look at it and drove it home that day. Very fun car to drive around and take to car shows. Payed $2750 for it at age 17.

1965 Ford F250 I found this truck on craigslist and went over to look at it, by doing so i discovered that i new knew the guy from church. he was asking $1500 for it but sold it to me for $1300. Age 18.

Today's Featured Article - The Day Mom Drove the 8N - by Brian Browning. My Dad was wanting to put in a garden but couldn't operate the 8N and handle the old horse drawn plow he had found and rigged up to use with the tractor. Well, he decided to go get Mom out of the house and have her drive the tractor while he walked behind the plow. You got to understand that while my Mom is a hard worker who will always help whenever she can... she had never operated farm machinery before that day. Dad got her out there, explained how the clutch was the same as in our o ... [Read Article]
