tommyw, If it only shakes with the brakes on, can you feel it in the steering wheel ? Go out on open road and try it, if you can, take your foot off the brake and lightly apply the emergency. If the feel is the same, it's in the back, if not it's the front. Go to a GOOD mechanic and have him put a dial guage on the front rotors with the pads out, and if it has more than about 1/2 thou run-out, your brake rotors may be the problem. Find (if you can), someone who can machine them in place on the vehicle - we use this type of machine in our shop and it's the only way to get a true cut. If you can't find that, check the rotors when they are chucked in the lathe that the high spot when it's on the truck is in the same place, if not, clean, re-chuck and do this until it's the same on the lathe as on the truck. We see this all the time where some idiot will chuck rotors crooked, then turn them straight and have seen as much as 20 thou run-out on good-looking rotors. It's a big waste of expensive steel to make a mistake like this, so you may want to NOT take it to the same place to have it checked for run-out. Let me know if this is any help, Ron
