Xylene or toulene will not burn up your motor. They each happen to be one of dozens of different distictive gasoline molocules. Pure xylene has 116 octane & toulene 114 octane if memory is correct. Blend just enough in enough octane to prevent detonation. Any extra limits power & gets expensive. If adding alcohol or nitromethane then the mixture would lean out, detonation would occur. Long enough & intense enough the motor will fail.
