Couple of problems . Could Use EXPERT ADvICE!! fired up the 706 and away to the woods for fire wood. Thought we had the heater problem fixed however when I turned it on , Guess what, NO HEAT just cold air. We Installed a brand New heater ,Insulated the lines, before that , a new 180o thermostat. Installation of the water lines went like this, T fitting in top of head for sensing probe, and a line off the T for the heater. The return line went to the bottom of the block, where there was a 3/8/elbow .2 brass shutoff valves installed. The previous owner had a Brand new Radiator installed. Now when the engine is running, temp guage doesnt read nothing. After shut down, reads 170o. My son who did the reworking of the tractor thinks we should have taken a line from the water pump instead of the lower block fiting(as was the advice we got here),got to remember the 65 amp bi directional alternatir makes it almost impossible to use the pump , Clearance is the problem. My son says it will be close. Hate to drop the alternator lower by using a longer belt as I am worried about the loader arm comming in contact with the alternator itself.What do you guys think?He is gonna try it.
