: I'm looking for a source for a 3pt hitch and related hydraulic gear for a Farmall A. Does anyone know of a conversion that used an electrically powered compressor (ie pickup mounted snowplows) or is it best to mount to the pto.

: I'm new to this so apologies up front for any really stupid questions.

If your tractor does not have a factory hydraulic lift, if you want your tractor to look original, you could get all of the necessary hydraulic and lift parts from an A at a salvage yard. A simpler solution, if looks don't matter, would be to run a pump either off of the PTO or off of the front pylley and also install a resevour and valve in a convient location. Northern Hydraulics should be a source for these components. Tractor Supply or Central Tractor might have a 3 point hitch to fit the A.
