The freezing GMC tractor hauler saga ends.. we have Heat!!!!

It was the heater core, at only $69.99. Even though the old core seemed to pump out a large stream of coolant when it was hooked up, there was enough crud in it to prevent heat transfer. The final clue was that if the blower was left off for a while, I would have heat for the first few seconds of fan operation and then output would cool down, even though the hoses were hot. Someone had been in previously and super glued the housing together, which was fun.
I actually had to roll the window down while i was plowing snow tonight. It was too hot in the truck with the defrost on to melt the snow on the windshield.
Thanks for all the suggestions, guys! All were good, and now I beleive I have the best heat the truck is capable of putting out, without the use of flammables .;-)
