Its NOT a 1948 model 9N. The 9N was only made from 1939 to 1942, then the 2N was made from '42 to '47 or 48' then the 8N was made from '48 to '52. 8N has ball worm steering so rocks and clods don't break your wrists and has a four speed forward transmission. 9N and 2N kick hard and have a three speed forward transmission with the left brake pedal next to the clutch so its hard to clutch and stop straight. The 8N has only the clutch pedal on the left side.
