Truck, you have a vaccum problem in your heating system,it could be a switch,vent or door actuator or a heater control valve or leak somewhere. I don't know the specific's of the GM system but my guess would be that vaccum keeps the heater control valve closed or the blend door in the cold position. Your engine makes the most vaccum at idle and decel, and the least at wide open throttle. That is why I think you have a vaccum oriented problem. woody
