I'm pulling this trailer with a 3/4 ton '95 Dodge diesel. Now some of you guys will say, "that's your problem", but I don't think so. I've talked to a friend of mine with a Ford and he has the same problem. The jerking is going on while driving down the road and not in braking. I keep the chains tight, all the time. I bought the truck used 3 years ago and the ball was in the box, the fold down hide-a-way style and the ball is in line with the axle, if I would've of mounted it I would've of put it ahead of the axle as far as I could. I would have to do some major hacking to redo this hitch. The trailer was new in '91 and is a Travalong brand and I haven't done that much hauling. If I really load it down like with 3 RC tractors, then the bounce or jerk is at a minimum, which is to be expected. I'm thinking that I should go to a heavier built trailer and go 4 ft shorter and I could still squeeze on 2 tracators if I wanted to. This is a good deal as this way my wife won't come along to shows and I'm free to roam or take a friend along instead.
