Well, my 16 yr old son, and I built a 24x36 polebarn, a year and a half ago - dirt floor, over the rocks of an old foundation, filled with sand. Walls are OSB covered with vinyl siding, roof OSB with tar paper and shingles. Vented at soffit and peak. One 7x16 overhead door. Purely a storage building for a couple of popup trailers. Somehow, a Farmall 200, a John Deere B, a Ford BroncoII, A Lumina APV, 5'brushhog, 2 bottom plow, single row cultivator have all crept in. Yes it's crowded, and stuff has to be moved around to get in and out. Muffler needs to be removed on JD - exhaust pipe on 200 is 3" short, but what the heck. By going with wood/osb/vinyl/ and shingles, I got by the moisture problems common to concrete floors and metal sides/roofs. And this is in Michigan!
Hint -build bigger than you possibly think you'll ever in your wildest dreams need - it'll fill up in no time!
