The model is probably an HY8. It was made by the Shaw Mfg. Co. in Galesburg, Kansas. This company started making this type of small outfit in the early 30"s. The HY8 was introduced around 1940 and was sold until sometime in the late 40"s. I don"t know what happened to the company after that. It was designed for truck gardens and small farms and was powered by a single cylinder Wisconsin engine. I really doubt there are that many still around that haven"t been relegated to the junk yard, and there may not have been many made to begin with. It would definitely be collectable, but I don"t have any idea what an actual market value would be. I wouldn"t start with an offer of any more than $300 if it were me, but I always start low. You can always go up. Remember you are going have to at least buy tires probably. I guess it really depends on what your budget is. Mine is always low. Good luck!
