Repaired a lot of things on the 706 cab & sheet metal. loader mtg brackets, etc. Don"t mind it at all but my-O -my when it comes to buying parts, reasonable cost is expected. I really dislike the way some I.H dealers gouge and smile when they think they have you at a disadvantage, so now its the G.M dealer.Have a G.M.C.Yukon (really Nice) that the passenger side window switch would only raise the window. Driver had to lower it from his side . My son took the switch out, called the G.M dealer and they wanted to know the vin #,like that window switch was just made for that vehicle. Well gave em the vin #and they looked up the part. Guess what? $104.00 for the whole console with the switch. Took it apart on the table, removed the switch, took the switch apart, dressed down the points, put a touch of Di-electric grease on the points, checked it with volt ohm meter. worked fine. My son re- installed the panel and low and behold, It WORKS, Pays to do it your self. Kept the Executives bonuses down a little. After all, they can"t make it on the millions from the bail out money we are paying for.Like the sign says"Experience isn"t expensive, It"s Priceless". LOL LOU
