Was this a co-op? I know they sell a hyd oil called R&O oil. It is strictly for hyd systems only. Hyd-transmission fluid is for machines that use the same oil for both trans lubrication and hyd systems. Examples would be Co-op 75 Fluid, JD Hy-Gard, Case IH Hy-Tran etc. The other mfgs have their own also but I can't remember them. A generic equivalent would be Universal hyd-trans oil. White (Oliver) dealers sell an oil call Preferred 55. It is a hyd oil only-has no lube properties for transmissions. I would think your loader would take hyd-trans oil O.K. because if it was plumbed into a tractor hyd system it would have to use the same oil as the tractor. So if the tractor used hyd-trans oil the loader would have to also. The only trouble I can see would be in really cold weather the hyd-trans oil would take longer to warm up and thin out since it is thicker to start with. I am no hydraulic expert but spent 6 years in parts business at White and JD dealers. Sold a lot of people a lot of oil with no complaints.
