Before you do any spliceing I would check with your local ford dealer. Most of the F-350 are pre wired to the rear with "hot wire" and all the other nec. wires for trailers. Ask them for the wire harness pigtail, also under the dash at about center should be a pigtail for a trailer brake, also pre run to the back of the truck. These trucks were made to pull things!
