I have been to Archabold Ohio several times and have seen several people there as "repeaters" Once I struck up a conversation with a gentleman there that had about 20 lots at the auction yard. He had a business, bid on his own stuff, and apparently knew every auctioneer there. If nobody met his bid the auctioneer moved on. At a local auction in Mich. a friend of mine bid on a truck. After he won he realized he was bidding against the truck's owner's son. He complained and got paid back by the owner. I believe that the self interest is so powerfull and the ease of influencing the auction so great that this is inevitable. Thanks, Irv
