White outdoor equipment is built by MTD (or was last I heard) I have a 1990 White LT-145. It has a 14 hp Briggs Vanguard, hydro, and a 42" deck. I believe it really is indestructable. We have cut a lot of grass, some of it rough stuff, and the only repairs have been a starter drive, a few belts, and a deck shell (victim of a 12" diameter sand boulder). I would buy another in a heartbeat. I don't know if the new ones are like mine, but I hope so. Karl
