Westy, Thanks for the info. A lot of people confuse the MF50 ag tractor for the MF50A industrial. There's very little resemblence. My MF50A is a very massive tractor. The front axle is one piece cast iron that is close to 5" X 5" cross-sectional area. There is no mechanical linkage connecting the steering wheel to the front wheels. The power steering hosed go to the steering column, then to the two power steering cylinders on the front wheels. The whole dash/console area is massive cast iron and the steering wheel is a tilt steering wheel system. It has inboard brakes on each side of the differential and planetary final drive reduction on the outboard end of each axle. It has a 52 HP Perkins AD4-203 diesel. It definitely is an industrial tractor and is the base tractor for the MF50A tractor/loader/backhoe. I have a loader and backhoe for it. My objective is to add a rockshaft assembly in order to have a 3 point hitch when the backhoe is removed. This way I can get more utility from the tractor, because I don't need a full time backhoe. I plan to leave the loader on it all the time, because I frequently need a loader to move stuff around on the farm or move a little gravel. This way I can take the loader off my other tractor and use it more for mowing, haying, etc. without the loader on it. It takes about 45 minutes to install or remove the backhoe. Which is not bad if done 3 - 4 times a year for some tasks. Ken McWilliams Dayton, OH
