2 days of much needed nasty rainy weather then warm and sunny today. Got off of night shift and went to bed but woke up earlier than usual. Couldn't sleep so got up about a half hour later just in time for wife to come home with pics she took of the foal. I've seen him everyday since he was born so gave a quick glance at the preview pics on the camera with a "very nice" here and there. My mare has been due since Easter and she said there was something wrong and we might have to call the vet. Threw my clothes on and we jumped in the car to check her out. Wife wouldn't look at me or talk for the mile trip and I was pretty scared. Got there and saw she couldn't look cause she had this big sh!t eatin' grin on her mug. Here was the problem....
