In the past I've used a 30 gallon metal drum with a barrel pump in the back of the pickup (I'm assuming its legal here in Montana I've been followed by the state patrol numerous times for many miles and never pulled over, see lots of other guys doing it).
This year I bought a diesel tractor and swapped out the old gas barrel to use for the diesel now (let it sit empty and air out all winter).
I'm thinking of getting a plastic drum for my next gas barrel. My thoughts are that the plastic will not sweat (less condensation)and being white will have less heat/evaporation.
My fear is that the gas and plastic will be a bad mix.
Any input???
Some plastic can tolerate fuel (commercial gas cans & some auto fuel tanks) and some can not (Styrofoam drink cup).
