The best 40% efficient solar cells run at $1000.00per watt. So that's maybe 30ft2 on a large vehicle to obtain a whole screaming 400W after spending $1.2 million. Or going with standard photovoltaic cells with 15% efficiency, the cost will be $2250 to obtain 150W. Now wait for the 1st parking lot door ding to ruin 10% of the total capacity. 150W will run the radio, dash lights and HVAC fan.
