Found the picture in the September-October edition of Antique Power Magazine, 1999. It's in their "tractor show" page (not a letter) from a guy named Dick Halter (Sr.) who lives in Louisville, Ohio. His is a 1950 Farmall C "demonstrator". Apparently when this guy got the tractor it was red, but the white was showing through underneath and he found out from the serial number (51523) that it was originally one of the dealer demos, and probably was painted red when someone bought it (in those days, a guy would have to be pretty careful driving a white tractor). He also says there are a "lot" of Farmalls out there painted white, but they aren't the real thing. They sell back issues of the magazine for $6. Their phone number is 800-767-5828. If you email me using the return system here I will attempt to scan this photo and send it to you.
