Tractor galoshes for lawns

Hmmmm....well we are strongly considering moving out of town to a nice 10acre lot with some good size lawn. My tractor is up at camp where it is used in the woods...with Ag tires...like any good self respectin tractor :-) But...it looks like it may be moving down the mountain a ways to spend a good part of it's life mowing lawn. Perhaps this is the time to look for that 'N' restoration project...but short of that...has anyone ever put some old...beat up turf tires as turf shoes onto ag tires? thinkin if you cut the sidewall out of one side and split the tire across the tread you could sort of make slip on galoshes for the ag tires held on with bungees like a chain. Just sort of wonderin about how not to tear up the lawn with the ags...still wantin to keep the ags on for when the tractor does its day-time logging job :-) Kim Hartshorn
