I agree, some (NOT all of course) high energy ignition systems use an elec switch thats capable of handling n switching MORE AMPS then the 4 or so points can hande. Then if you (as I usually recommend) couple a higher current switch with a high energy coil and pump more amps through the coil YOU CAN GET A HIGHER ENERGY SPARK...
I think Pertronix or others make Flame Thrower and Flame Thrower II and Ignitor I and I etc so I always tell posters to be sure and match the coil n switch .......
