Mother nature has not been kind this spring. It is wet and cold and going to get wetter and colder, if you can believe the weathermen. Still it is time to be ready because when the time comes it could be a race against the clock just like last year. Still have corn to pick, manure to spread and oats to sow before the real farming starts. Should start having calves soon and need to get the fences ready to turn the cows to pasture. Need to grind a bunch of feed so I dont have to worry about that while we are in the field. I'm sure there are a bunch of other things but they will have to wait.

The versatile is in the shop getting some last minute service performed. I think it has a small radiator leak, anyone want to come help with that little project?

Most of the dekalb corn is in the barn along with all of the chemicals. Talked to the pioneer salesman today and he will bring corn next week.

We took time today to put new cab interior in the 1086 and we put the duals on for the first time in a few years, note the amount of dust on the duals.

The weather will get better and we will go to the field. It would be nice to be able to start planting corn in 20-25 days.
