3100 would likely denote the 'all purpose' version of the 3000 series tractor. It would still be decaled as a '3000'... but I ~think~ 3100 would be the actual model number. This was true of the 4000, 5000 and 7000 series tractors. '200' denoted rowcrop, '400' as Utility and '500' as industrial... I've never heard of the 3000 AG model being refered to as a 3100, but that's the only explanation I can think of.
