D17, is it your plan to run straight alcohol in this carburated truck? This is the only big reason that I can see for wanting to expend the effort needed to retrofit your engine. Keep in mind that if this is the case, you may not want even a standard carb, as most(All) use neoprene floats, vice brass. Others who have done this tell me that they needed to change the intake manifold, and retard the timing.
