They where a Portland, Oregon (USA) company, and I THINK the tractors where also built in Portland. They made a series of 4X4 tractors for John Deere, before Deere had a good one. When Deere made a good 4X4, they no longer had Wagner build tractors for them. However, part of the agreement between Deere and Wagner was that Wagner would not be able to sell 4X4 tractors when the agreement ended. So, that was the end of the Wagner 4X4
