Thanks Allan, I know in the early 60's Dad only used manure and rotation instead of fertilizer. But as yields went up for others he wanted to be part of it. I farmed for over 20 years and started out with little money for fertilizer but as I got more money I went for the higher yields. But as wheat prices went down I used a lot more crop rotation, manure and livestock to keep it more cost effective. I had built the land up over time and that helped towards the end. My costs had gone down as far as land and equipment so I just kept the best land and farmed what I could do myself till health forced me to give it up. I like what you are doing and seeing what you are able to do makes me miss the farm....James
